Technical Resource - Gearbox

Only two different types of gearbox were ever used for Formula Ford Zetec's, the Hewland LD200 and the Staff's SMT 86/10-5S. Although both types are very similar the Hewland LD200 is far more frequently encountered. Both are transaxle and feature fully adjustable ratios, straight cut dog's and free differential. Ratio's and components are still available from the manufacturer's of both gearboxes.
