BRSCC Formula Ford
Following the news that the MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain will not include a class for Duratecs next season, the British Racing & Sports Car Club have announced that they will run a full calendar of races for these cars in 2013.
The calendar will feature races over seven or eight events and will see a mixture of both double and triple-header races, all of which will include a class for Zetec Formula Fords. The calendar will include races at all of the major circuits to include Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton & Anglesey.
It is hoped, subject to the number of competitors in the series, that some of the events may be held alongside high profile events such as British F3/British GT, Superstars International Series etc. It is also envisaged that there will be an overseas event, which will coincide with a round of the proposed North Sea Cup and will see the UK series compete alongside their European counterparts at one of the top circuits in Europe. This will also mean that the North Sea Cup will join the BRSCC Series at some of their UK rounds, which will enable competitors to challenge their European competitors on a regular basis.
There will be no major changes to the 2012 Technical Regulations as issued by Ford Motor Company. However, some control items such as tyres are still to be confirmed.
All drivers and team owners who are interested in competing in the proposed series are invited to contact BRSCC Competitions Director, Drew Furlong, on or email
